Drug and Alcohol Assessments
Drug & Alcohol Assessments are face-to-face interventions for the purpose/goal of assisting the client in dealing with their crisis and/or illness. A clinical evaluation identifies the nature and extent of the presenting problem, including substance abuse, and behavioral issues.
The assessment includes: discussion about the client’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences, as stated by the client; discussion about the various therapeutic techniques available to meet the needs and preferences, a projected length of treatment including other diagnostic exams or techniques recommended; discussion and resolution of any special needs of the client, such as, physical impairments, etc. and documentation that these needs have been addressed and met.
Crisis Intervention
Crisis Intervention Services at Angel Intervention Services LLC include a comprehensive continuum of services, including telephone or face-to-face contact, face-to-face Crisis Intervention (C/I). Staff responds to the individual’s situation in a manner that helps to stabilize the client, meet their needs and improve their quality of life. These services are provided in a climate that promotes dignity and respect, making any necessary referrals to provide ongoing support until the crisis is resolved or the client is equipped to cope successfully without further services.
Angel Intervention Services LLC & I.O.P is an intensive out-patient program for substance abuse. We offer individual substance counseling, group counseling, family groups, case management, long term monitoring, and individual therapy.
Psychotherapy
Angel Intervention & I.O.P Services offers Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a way to help people with a broad variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing.
Problems helped by psychotherapy include difficulties in coping with daily life; the impact of trauma, medical illness or loss, like the death of a loved one; and specific mental disorders, like depression or anxiety. There are several different types of psychotherapy and some types may work better with certain problems or issues. Psychotherapy may be used in combination with medication or other therapies.
