Overdose deaths are so high in Ohio, some cities need more morgues
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Law enforcement agencies conducting a drug raid in Southwestern Ohio last week seized 20 kilograms (44 pounds) of suspected fentanyl with a street value of several million dollars was seized. A Multi-agency raid conducted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio Attorney General’s Office, FBI, and Homeland Security Investigations seized enough fentanyl to kill the entire population of Ohio…several times over, authorities said.
Why is Fentanyl so Deadly?
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid used as a patch, has been showing up in bags of heroin or cocaine without a buyer’s knowledge often. The high is euphoric and the product is cheap and strong, making it popular among those who try it. It’s also a lot more deadly. Spikes in deaths from the drug have increased across the country
The Lethal Dose of Fentanyl
Fentanyl is especially dangerous because it is roughly 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine and acts quickly due to rapid uptake in the brain.

A clinical evaluation identifies the nature and extent of the presenting problem, including substance abuse, and behavioral issues.
The assessment includes: discussion about the client’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences, as stated by the client; discussion about the various therapeutic techniques available to meet the needs and preferences, a projected length of treatment including other diagnostic exams or techniques recommended; discussion and resolution of any special needs of the client, such as, physical impairments, etc. and documentation that these needs have been addressed and met.
